Jeff-Net Report Runner Batch is an automated report distribution tool for Crystal Reports. JNRRB works with all versions of Crystal Reports. It makes it possible to automatically run multiple reports on a regularly scheduled basis, all without user interaction. These reports can be printed, FTP'd, posted on a server, faxed, SMS'd, emailed, and even posted to Twitter. They can be exported in most any format that Crystal Reports supports such as Acrobat PDF.
Scheduling is done with our built-in scheduler (that "talks" with Windows Scheduler). This allows you to time-based report automation on various days, dates, and times. More advanced event-based report processing is also possible. Just contact us to find out how!
For an added bit of automation, Report Runner Batch can do "Bursting" batches as well. Bursting allows for using one single report to output (burst) to file names or email addresses based on the group header (GH1) values. For example, you could create an invoice report that bursts invoices to customers daily, for customers who purchased from you on that day. You would just group the invoice on the invoice number, then place the customers email address within that same group (it can even be hidden). The batch will separate each invoice and email it to the customer's email address. It's actually that simple to set up. Additionally, our bursting feature also enables automated email letters and HTML-formatted newsletters.
Report Runner Batch pays for itself. Want to figure out how Report Runner Batch will pay for itself? Figure out how much time per day is spent running and distributing reports. For most companies, it's at least one hour, sometimes more. Multiply that by their hourly rate and you can see how much you're spending per month to do report distribution. One hour per day, 30 days, let's say $20/hour, and you get $600 per month in report distribution costs. Even our Enterprise version would pay for itself within 3 months!
