Jeff-Net Report Runner Toolkit (JNRRT) is an all purpose report and file management and print utility, which you control using a simple scripting language. It can be called from an application or scheduled using the Windows Scheduler. You can log into a server, upload, download, query remote and local directories, create and extract zip files, print Crystal Reports files (that have saved data), print text files, display text messages and display popup messages. The way the script is processed is you simply pass the file to process as a command line parameter to the JNRRT.EXE. With this technique you can schedule numerous kinds of tasks using the Windows Scheduler. Alternatively you can set up a custom file type. Let’s say you use a .FTP extension on your script files. You can tell Windows to always open .FTP file with JNRRT.EXE. If you do that, all you have to do is dbl-click on .FTP files and they will process automatically. You can also create shortcuts and place on your end users desktops. The original design of this product was for a customer that we wanted to automate a way for his customers to print Crystal Reports output on their local printer. With this tool, he could simply output his customers reports to his server, then the customer, would "poll" the server multiple times per day, download the reports, print the reports, and delete the reports (work files) from their local machine and the server. Take a look at the documentation on the right. It explains all of the available scripting keywords and shows examples of various tasks.
