Jeff-Net Report Runner Batch Installation Instructions
Installation is quick an easy. Just let us know where you want to install it.
If you install on a Citrix or Terminal Server, you must use an ADMIN ID and use Add/Remove Programs to do the install. Otherwise it will not install properly.
Following are some of the prompts you will see during the install:
We started putting this next notice into our installs to remind users that we have an 8.5 specific version of our software. There are still many, many users around the world still using Crystal Reports 8.5 and previous. We recommend using our version 8.5 version of our software with those versions. This message is only displayed with versions other than version 8.5.
NOTE: If you plan on installing version 8.5, you still MUST run this version 11 installer. You do not need to install the Crystal Reports version 11 Runtime files, though. After you continue to install version 11 without the runtime files, see the version 8.5 installation notes at the end of the version 11 instructions.
For version 11, most users should always leave both options checked. If you are SURE you have Crystal Reports Advanced already installed, you can uncheck that option:

OWNERSHIP OF SOFTWARE You acknowledge and agree that all of the computer programs and associated documentation (collectively, the "Software") are owned exclusively by Jeff-Net. You agree that the price paid by you for the Software is a license fee granting you only the rights set forth in this License Agreement.
LICENSE Jeff-Net grants to you, and you accept, a limited, non-exclusive and revocable license to use the Software, in machine-readable, object code form only. You agree to use the Software only as authorized in this License Agreement. This License Agreement does not convey to you any ownership rights or any other interest in the Software.
SCOPE OF LICENSE This Software is licensed per user and per computer. A valid license must be purchased for each computer and user on which the Software is installed and used.
You may not copy or make any changes or modifications to the Software, and you may not translate, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise reverse engineer the computer program(s). You may not lend, rent, lease or sublicense the Software or any copy to others for any purpose. You agree to use all reasonable efforts to protect the Software from unauthorized use, modification, reproduction, distribution or publication. You are not permitted to make any uses or copies of the Software that are not specifically authorized by the terms of this License Agreement, and Jeff-Net reserves all rights that are not expressly granted to you. Your adherence to this License Agreement will allow Jeff-Net to continue developing innovative and useful products and providing a high level of customer service and support.
TERM This license will become effective on the date you acquire the Software and will remain in force until terminated. You may terminate the license at any time by removing the Software from your computer and destroying the original Software and all copies. This license will automatically terminate if you breach any of the terms or conditions set out in this License Agreement. You agree to remove the Software from your computer, and either to destroy the original Software and all copies of the Software or to return the Software to Jeff-Net, upon termination of this license for any reason.
TRANSFER Software is non-transferable to other companies.
BACKUP COPY You may make copies of this Software solely for backup or archival purposes.
LIMITED WARRANTY Jeff-Net warrants the physical program media to be free from, defects for a period of 30 days from the date of your purchase. If you notify Jeff-Net of defects during the warranty period, Jeff-Net will replace the defective program media or, at its option, refund the purchase price. Your remedy for breach of this warranty shall be limited to replacement or refund and shall not encompass any other damages. No dealer, distributor, agent or employee of Jeff-Net is authorized to make any modification or addition to the warranty and remedies stated above.
Jeff-Net specifically disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Jeff-Net does not provide any warranty as to the operation of the software or its fitness for any particular application, use or purpose.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND REMEDIES In no event shall Jeff-Net or its licensors be liable for any loss of profit or any other commercial damage, including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential, punitive or other damages, even if Jeff-Net or its licensors are advised, in advance, of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall the liability of Jeff-Net or its licensors exceed the purchase price paid for the Software.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS You agree to install this software ONLY on a computer that you own or on a computer which you have been given explicit permission to install. You agree to NOT install this software on any computer you do not own or on any computer you have not been given explicit permission to install.
You acknowledge that Jeff-Net periodically registers the Software with its license server by electronic transfer via the internet to the Jeff-Net license server.
This information transfer is done to register the Software and to collect system specific information for supporting you and to send you information regarding the product. Jeff-Net acknowledges that the information collected to support you is confidential and will not be distributed to any third party.
Jeff-Net will never transmit information to our server without your knowledge. We respect all of our client's confidentiality, and we would NEVER transmit anything without letting you know first. Our products do pull information FROM our server to show end users, but we do not SEND any information. *If* we ever do, we will make it perfectly clear to you what we are sending, why we are sending it, and where it is going before doing so.
A SPECIAL REQUIREMENT FOR CRYSTAL REPORTS to ensure that you are complying with your Crystal Reports License, you must install a copy of Crystal Reports Advanced edition for every installation of this Software.
It is your responsibility when installing Crystal Reports editions and components to ensure that you are licensed to use these components within your organisation, and that you do not exceed the number of licenses you have bought from Business Objects (or for older versions, from Seagate Software or Crystal Decisions). Please read your Crystal Reports License very carefully. By using our Software you confirm that you understand your Crystal Reports License Agreement, and that you assume full responsibility for ensuring that Business Objects' Licensing terms are met. The licensing agreements differ for each version of Crystal Reports.

You should always run the Latest EXE Updater installer after doing a full install. This updater will always have the most current update. Also, if you are installing to Windows Server 2008, it's imperative that you run this updater. Otherwise, Report Runner Batch will not run correctly on Windows Server 2008.

Version 8.5 Installation Instructions
After you've done the base installation version 11 above, you can install version 8.5. There are two additional downloads to run:
1) The version 8.5 installer
2) The version 8.5 Crystal Reports Runtime installer

Note: If you're going to be running version 8.5 of Report Runner Batch, the executable name of it is jnrrb85.exe. There is an 8.5 specific selection in the Report Runner Batch program group, too.
